VINCENZO ALBANO

S I N G E R

A professional singer for over 35 years, Vincenzo Albano is highly accomplished and versatile vocal artist. Over the years he has collaborated in a broad range of musical projects, as befits his eclectic style. Early beginnings in Musical Theatre and Piano Bars soon led to many diverse and rewarding collaborations, including Orchestra Concerts, Mainstream TV and vocal harmony groups, and spanning Pop, Rock, Jazz, Soul and Bossanova. As a sideline, he has also written and produced advertising jingles for italian national  tv and radio.  He has had the good fortune to work with musicians of the calibre of Massimo Moriconi, Roberto Ottaviano, Mario Rosini, Nucci Guerra, Edy Olivieri, Michele Zonno, Camillo Pace, Vincenzo Lanzo, Mimmo Campanale, Pino Pichierri, Ettore Carucci, Pino Mazzarano, Michele Vurchio, Gianpaolo Ascolese, Gianluca Petrella. His studies in singing and  vocal technique under Professoressa Nella Tuzzi played an additional and important role in his artistic development. He has also relished invitations as backing singer both on tour and on recordings for artists such as Patrizia Conte, Minnie Minoprio, Mimmo Cavallo. Other highlights include: The Jazz Studio Orchestra di Bari (1987-1992) Vincenzo fully  embraced the opportunity to develop with this magnificent orchestra, directed by Maestro Paolo Lepore, and gained invaluable experience with regular performances in full orchestra, in trio and in quartet. Gli Stik (1991-present) Vincenzo formed this trio in response to demand for top quality musical entertainment at events, ceremonies, clubs and restaurants. The band (now called Vincenzo Albano Trio) has a vast repertoire to suit every occasion, whether italian and international pop classics, disco, soul or romantic ballads. Mediaset "La Canzone del Secolo", Canale 5 (1998-1999) Following successful auditions with Maestro Pippo Caruso, Vincenzo won a place on this prestigious series, introduced by Pippo Baudo. Tarenti Cantores (2005-2007) As a member of this unique polyphonic group, Vincenzo took part as baritone in numerous concerts, including  John Rutter's Magnificat and Franz Liszt's Via Crucis. The Jazz Set (2008-present) This wonderfully dynamic and innovative vocal septet, of which Vincenzo was a founder member, is directed by Maestro Nicola Locritani. Historic concert runs include Real Book Harmonies, Swingpaticamente.... in Love and Merry Christmas and Happy New Swing. Currently, Vincenzo works as a singing teacher and vocal coach and continues to perform. 2018 saw Vincenzo return to songwriting, and he composes, arranges and produces as well as performs his own material.
